How to Use Pure Argan Oil

Back to the basics!

In case you missed it on other parts of our site, here are a few tips on how to get started with your new bottle of 100% Pure Argan Oil.


Run a very small amount through your hair after washing and then style as usual. (Just a drop! If you use too much, your hair will look greasy. This is not a styling product, it’s a conditioning treatment.)

You can also choose to indulge once or twice a week and apply a generous amount to freshly washed hair at night…

Massage several drops of Argan Oil in your scalp for a few minutes starting at the back of the head and then working your way up. Finally, cover your head, then re-wash again in the morning. If you hate sleeping with a shower cap on, cover your pillow with a towel instead. Any traces of oil will wash easily out of towels and pillowcases, but of course, you can’t wash a down-filled pillow, so you’ll want to make sure that no moisture seeps through.


Massage a drop or two of Saadia Organics Argan Oil on your cuticles, nails and hands as needed. We like to do this several times a day for best results.

For a more intensive treatment, mix equal parts of Argan Oil and lemon juice and soak your nails in it for ten minutes. Then give yourself a nice massage, rinse your hands, and end with a few drops of fresh oil to massage into your hands like hand lotion.


For basic skin care, Argan Oil can be used as a daily moisturizer and as a makeup base. It is also useful for skin conditions such as: psoriasis, eczema, dry skin, contact dermatitis, inflammation, acne, wrinkles, scarring, minor burns and cracked heels. In arthritic and rheumatic conditions in which joints are damaged, Argan Oil soothes and reduces pain.

Argan Oil also produces excellent results on new tattoos by soothing the area, decreasing itchiness and helping the skin to heal quickly. In addition, it is ideal to use after waxing, laser treatments and even chemical peels.

Usage: Apply a drop or two (or more!) in a circular motion to clean skin morning and night until absorbed. Be sure to include the area around your eyes. You will be able to see a difference within a few days of consistent use.

Those with dry skin like to use it morning and night, while some with oilier skin like to just use once per day.


Moroccan women use Argan Oil liberally on their expanding bellies while pregnant. Several drops will do the trick. They do this to prevent drying, itchiness and discomfort from rapidly stretching skin. They also apply Argan Oil in hopes of avoiding stretch marks. Because Argan Oil is extremely high in essential fatty acids, it helps to prevent a loss in elasticity of the skin. It is most beneficial to use Argan Oil as a preventative measure against stretch marks. However, it is very rich in antioxidants, which will substantially reduce any existing marks.


Say goodbye to diaper rash. Protein-rich Argan Oil will both prevent and treat it. It soothes inflamed skin while repairing, moisturizing and revitalizing it. Argan Oil is a fantastic daily barrier for sensitive baby bottoms. Massage a few drops onto baby’s skin during diaper changes.

And since it absorbs quickly in the skin and has a non-greasy texture, Argan Oil is excellent with cloth diapers.

Argan Oil is also the perfect thing to use on your little one’s eczema, dry skin, cradle cap and baby “acne”. Again, just a drop or two will do the job well. And you don’t have to worry about harmful ingredients. This is one product with one ingredient that is so natural you can eat it. Hence, it’s perfectly safe to soothe your nipples if you are nursing.

It is also the ideal oil to use for infant massage as it is such a safe and healthy oil. It is also nut-free so you don’t have to worry about allergies. A few drops go a long way. Be sure to check out You Tube for infant massage techniques.
